Acting as my own general contractor

I sustained substantial damage to my condo as a result of Hurricane Irma. I got a couple of quotes from contractors and submitted the lower quote to my carrier. I found that I wasn’t comfortable using that contractor so I acted as my own General Contractor and hired individual trademen. The damage was primarily water damage and required demoing walls, bathrooms, etc. but no major reconstruction.
The insurance company issued a check for the quotation less a 30%
recoverable depreciation. The rebuild is complete and actually came in below the contractors quote but over the amount of the check. Will I be able to get the recoverable depreciation?”
