When women drivers turn 25 years old, they start to see a drop in their insurance rates, provided that they have a clean driving record. The reason behind this drop in rates is because insurance companies have statistics that at 25, most female drivers are more mature, are more likely to already have a family and less likely to be involved in an accident.

This doesn't mean that just because you're a woman, your rates will go down when you turn 25.  However, your age and sex should give you an advantage when comparing quotes.
