1. I like Kent Withrow. He’s a nice guy, knowledgeable and helpful. Four years ago, I was in an auto accident. My dad gave me a car, which he drove from Texas to Michigan. He had insurance for his vehicles in Texas through Farmers, so that’s the insurance he set me up with. I didn’t have a choice because it wasn’t my car. So that is how my relationship with Kent began. Like I said, he is a good agent, but I would rather have had a choice in the matter. For one, his office is over an hour from where I live. Secondly, I do not think he has my best interests at heart. His rates [or Farmers] are very expensive and I think he maximizes the cost in his favor. I believe he plays on my ignorance. He talks to me in terms I do not understand. When I ask for clarification, I still do not understand Michigan car insurance. No fault liability is a pain. We finally got the title to this particular car, but decided to stay with Kent Withrow and farmers basically because we are lazy. With a large family and work, we find it difficult to find the time to shop around for reasonable car insurances rates. I do have a sneaking suspicious that there is cheaper insurance out there, say with Geico or Progressive. But researching alternatives are not my priority right now. And this is the main reason I have stayed with Mr. Withrow.
