The initial experience setting up the insurance policies was ok. The agent seems to farm out a lot of the interpersonal communications through various associates and secretaries. No one in the office seems to exactly know what is going on with you when you call or walk in. The general status is you are just a number, not a face or a person. The service is ok. The rates seem somewhat stable over time. I was disappointed in their claims process recently on homeowners. I initiated a claim with the local office, then was quickly passed off to a national network of people to deal with particulars. In the end I got a modest payment for loss, followed promptly by a $200/yr rate increase. If it wasn’t a hassle to change agencies, I would have shopped around a while ago to look for better customer service experience.
