I chose Doug Martin as my insurance agent approximately one year ago. I wanted to have a better price for similar coverage for my home and auto and I wanted an insurance agent that was located more locally to me. My initial experience was not the best. E-mails went unanswered and I was not greeted when I entered the office. However, these were just miscommunications that they did try to rectify. After my initial six month period for my auto insurance, the premium was raised, which was disappointing, but probably unavoidable with any insurance company. If you decide to use Doug Martin’s office, I suggest trying to work directly with Doug Martin and not his son. Doug Martin does seem extremely knowledgeable in his field and is able to explain premium raises, etc. very well. His son, the other agent in the office, seems a bit more scatter brained and definitely less seasoned.
