I knew Olga socially and she wanted an opportunity to shop my auto insurance and see if she could get it lower. To my surprise, she did, and she was able to do this while keeping my coverage well above Florida state minimums. Unfortunately Progressive makes me pay the entire policy up front to get the best discount, and I do not like this aspect of the policy. Also Progressive clearly tries to structure the policy so that you are encouraged to you use their Snapshot device, but I find that too Big Brotherish. I told Olga and AR that I absolutely would not use Snapshot, and they understood and agreed to get me the best rate without using it. I really appreciated this effort on their part. If it weren’t for their personal service in this regard I probably would not have used Progressive at all.
