We chose Mike De Lay Insurance originally because of a refrigerator magnet on a place we had just moved into. I needed car insurance on a new car right after moving to Monterey, CA. The place was a tiny studio basement apartment and the only thing in the place was that refrigerator with it’s magnet advertisement. I called them up, made an appointment, and next thing I knew they were my insurance people. I originally dealt with Mike De Lay Sr, then a lady Stella, finally it seems when I call I talk to Mike De Lay Jr. All of them have always been very nice, and I really felt they have been there for me, or my wife. Soon after my original policy my wife added her car, so we would be on one account, we’ve since added a home we bought that we rent out, also we’ve had renters insurance through them several times as well. I believe we had a small problem when we insured our house, because we weren’t living in it and have been renting it to vacationers, so a normal policy wasn’t going to work. They figured it out for us, something I’m not sure a big agency, or the Insurance Carriers would have done for us.
