I selected Allstate for my car insurance after having an unpleasant experience following a major car accident when I was insured with Geico. After my accident, Geico raised my rates so significantly, and I was so dissatisfied with the service I got during the ordeal, I decided to shop around. Allstate by far offered me the best price for my car insurance. Their office was located very close to my home, and the sign up and billing processes were very simple. The one thing I am dissatisfied with is the lack of communication after the fact. My rates have been raised twice in my two years with them, one an extremely significant leap. I was not notified of this price change, and it occurred without my knowledge, and without explanation of why there was a large leap. Overall I’m satisfied, but they leave a bit to be desired.
