I had spoken to other insurance companies about renters insurance and felt like they were trying to get me to get higher coverage than I needed (we live in a one bedroom place and didn’t need more than $10,000 of coverage). I called the local Geico office after looking online, and found I could get a better rate speaking to them in person than online. It was a pretty quick process, after telling the agent what I needed coverage wise. I already use them for car insurance, so I was able to receive a discount that way also. They took my payment information over the phone and was able to pay the entire annual cost at one time since it wasn’t very expensive. I was also told that I would be sent a packet of information regarding the insurance, and received it in the mail within a few days. So far I haven’t needed to use it, thankfully, but if I do, then I believe it will be pretty painless.
