We purchased our home owner insurance through Progressive with really no understanding of who would be underwriting any claims. We had a small water leak in our finished basement that damaged the ceiling drywall resulting in it having to be torn down and replaced. When we filled the claim, we spoke with one agent who stated they would be our point of contact throughout the process. A day later that changed to a different person. The next frustrating process was that we were expected to get quotes for the damage before the adjuster inspected it to see what our policy would cover. On top of this, they kept texting my phone to start the photography process of the damage only to have their online photo upload tool crash every time I was half way through submitting the photos. In the end, I cancelled the claim and fixed the issue myself. I realized that, had this been a more serious claim that the whole process would have left me even more frustrated.
