We had become dissatisfied by our previous car insurance carrier, mostly because we didn’t have an agent and purchased policies on both our cars through a website transaction. A friend from work got his car rear-ended in a snowstorm two years ago and I noticed he got a rental for two days and he got his car back pretty quickly. I asked about his insurance and called his agent. Found out that by transferring our homeowners and carrying both cars with him, we were able to pay about the same as we were before, with much better service. We ended up having to file a claim on one of our cars this summer and Chris, our agent, was fantastic start to finish. He helped us get everything taken care of, got me a rental for a couple of days, and expediently handled the financial end of things (it was the other driver’s fault) by taking over and dealing directly with the other insurance company.
