This agent, David Pedersen, recently took over the Allstate office that I do business with. (I prefer this office because I bought my insurance products in person a long time ago so I’m familiar with the staff that work here.) Instantly after the take-over, my car insurance rates rose- no accidents, tickets, new drivers, or new vehicles. I have called to question the rate increase and there’s nothing they can do. Most recently, I was to receive a 3% discount on my auto insurance for taking out a life insurance policy through their office. They gave me a 3% discount on paper but then reduced a previous discount that I had so no discount was actually received. They were unable to explain why this happened. They will not apply anymore discounts or lower my rates so they are aware I’m actively shopping for new insurance products.
