When I purchased a new home I found that the insurance company I had would be far too expensive with them. I sent a website request for a quote and Allstate was the cheapest by far. I was matched with someone in a different city 2 hrs away. I have never met my agent and we have only spoken once about 10 years ago. He was very nice at the time and so I thought that it didn’t matter how far away he was. He sends cards on occasion but I don’t have regular contact. I have considered moving all my insurance to one company for convenience but it is still too expensive to insure my home with American Family and my relationship with that agent is very warm. I wouldn’t take business from him to Allstate when I have a distant relationship with them.
