Citizens Property Insurance Corporation is based in Tallahassee, Florida. The company was founded in conjunction with the state government of Florida, and is run by a board of governors who have been appointed by the current state executive officeholders. Citizens Property Insurance’s mission is to provide property insurance to people in the state of Florida who could not otherwise qualify for insurance coverage.

- Wind-resistant construction techniques and features. This only applies to the wind portion of each premium, and does not apply to mobile homes.
- Houses that comply with the Florida Building Code of 2001. For specifics on this discount, a Citizens Property Insurance Agent must be contacted.
