Scam company
I got a letter from this company saying that I was in a hit and run in Walmart with their client and they want $1385.67. I was never in an accident and the police did not even come to my door for two months to do a report. Afterward, I got a hold of the officer that was involved in the report and he said that the driver’s car had a barely visible scratch on it. The insurance company says that their bumper was totaled. I was never in the parking lot of Walmart in Salisbury North Carolina on that day as far as I know. There was no video evidence or anything except the word of the driver who had my license plate number. I told him to screw off and leave me alone or sue me so that they can throw it out of court. Instead, they just keep sending me letters and I keep telling him to screw off. They think they can just harass me into finally paying. My insurance company told him to piss off also LOL.

nightmare
I should have looked up this company before I chose them to insure me. Pay the extra money for a company that hires claims representatives that finished 10th grade. Tiffany Barrett and Alex Walker are so incompetent. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE

RIP OFF!!!
After my down payment and 1 month if there service I wanted more. So I changed my info and payed another down payment, wasn’t happy w there monthly amount payment so I cancelled. Followed all the proper steps filled out all paperwork and the still are charging me a 10% penalty of the policy I didn’t keep after 2 days. A complete ripoff!!!! $607 penalty for switching insurance providers!!!!! We see where this company stands during a PANDEMIC in our country!!
Not only did they not send a bill for this penalty, it went straight to a collection agency!

Worst ever!
I was hit pulling into my driveway by someone on a motorcycle that was trying to pass illegally, in the wrong lane, or something. I don’t know to be honest it happened so fast and was the scariest thing to ever happen to me. (no injuries thank God) but my Ford Explorer was banged up some. This is the other drivers insurance so I put a claim in and when I called to see what was going on because nobody had contacted me back the agent Karen Weir in the worst most heartless tone ever stated she believed I knew what was gonna happen and that I caused the accident. I hung up on her and never want to hear her voice again. She was the most rude heartless person I have ever spoken too. The accident was NOT my fault and for her to say I hit him on purpose was very unprofessional and I have been crying all morning now. HE HIT ME. I said he did, he said he did, the police report says he did, he was even given a ticket but she still tried to blame me and spoke to me like I was scum. I am disgusted that she talked to me like that. I called my insurance company and they said she should have never spoken to me like that and will take over on my claim through them. I would hate to see how they would talk to someone with severe damage to their car if this is how I was treated over some dents in an accident with no injuries. Shame on her and this entire insurance company for treating and talking to people like they do.

Horrible, greedy company
I was hit by one of their clients in a parking lot. They were speeding 30 mph through the parking lot and not paying attention (probably on their phone) and hit me when I was already almost fully pulled out of my parking space. My older model car was totaled. They were very slow to do anything and get back to me. At first they were going to assess the damage and come up with a quote, but a few months go by and I get a letter saying they are denying my claim entirely and claiming I am at fault and they use North Carolinas contributory negligence to try to excuse it. How did I contribute to a car I couldnt see speeding through the lot and crashing into my car?? I had to hire a lawyer and I eventually settled with the individual. I don’t think Peak property ended up paying anything, their client had to pay out of pocket for the settlement to pay for my chiropractor bill and damages! It took a year after the accident to receive the settlement. This is the worst insurance company I’ve ever had to deal with.

Go somewhere else!
I have had ppc for almost a year now and up until I hit a deer I had had no issues with them. Over Christmas I hit a deer and filed the claim. I was told my policy did not have rental car coverage listed so they would cover the cost to fix the car outside of my deductible but they could not help with the rental. After arguing that I had requested for rental car coverage they told me they would go back to the voice recording and see if it was their fault or mine to not having rental car coverage in my policy. I was told it would take 24hrs to get the voice recording and get back with me, 7 days later they finally called to Inform me that I did ask for rental car coverage but because I did not state “rental car coverage for if I get into an accident the insurance company covers the expense of a rental car,” then it only meant my insurance would work on a rental car at my expense without having to pay for the rental car company’s insurances. After arguing for 25mins not one thing I said matter to them they just kept repeating what I should have stated instead of just asking for rental car coverage. I’ve never had such horrible experience from an insurance company or such poor customer service. You don’t want this insurance company take the advice of those that are writing these reviews and keep shopping for something better!

Scum of the insurance world
Peak told me to sue Dairyland. Dairyland sent a lawyer to dismiss case because I must sue Peak. And they just built a new 300k square foot building in Wisconsin. Obviously got the money by not paying claims. Orlando FL employees are totally discourteous and abusive. Something is wrong with the state insurance commission. How can these people exist stealing insureds legitimate claim money. Not one single review that doesn’t contain the words “horrible” or “worst” . For them, pride is only a family of lions😊

Victim of the worst insurance company ever
This company is a joke. I was in an accident with one of their clients who admitted 3 times to running the stop sign in a residential neighborhood. I AM NOT A CLIENT OF THIS COMPANY. The police report places the fault on them. YET, they are trying to say that because their client ran the stop sign that the other driver (me) is at fault because I didn’t stop for a car that was not seen UNTIL they hit me. SOOO IF I am to stop at each and every cross road where the other car has a stop light or sign and I get rear ended it is also my fault- anything scam companies can do to take money and not pay out. Insurance Commission will be contacted and so will the BBB. Companies like this should have their license revoked. IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM and IF they have their way I will get not one penny for my car that their client totaled. Absolutely disgusting business practices and they should be charged for their unethical and probably illegal business practices!!

I wish there was a zero star option
It amazes me that an insurance company such as Peak is allowed to sell insurance in the state of NC and then not pay claims when their client is at fault. My daughter was in an accident with a Peak policy holder and although it was clear to both law enforcement and my daughter’s Allstate insurance adjuster that their client was at fault, they say that they can not determine who is at fault. But they did have her vehicle picked up at the lot where it had been towed and then had it towed back to her apartment with no permission and no chain of custody. They basically had possession of her car for 8 days and claimed they could not even get a police report. My daughter had to supply them with the police report. We have reported this dishonest and unethical company to the BBB and the NC Insurance board and are considering legal action. Beware of this company! Their bad reputation precedes them.

Get out quick
A semi tractor trailer pulling an oversized load drove from the left lane across the right lane and pinned my vehicle into the guide wires on I-40. Having noticed construction signs alerting that a lane closure was ahead traffic was moving near 5 mph. I noticed that ahead of me in the left lane a vehicle was swerving back and forth and hitting his brakes. When the vehicle ahead moved to the right lane behind the oversize load I noticed no traffic in left lane for nearly 1/4 mile as I came up next to the oversize load the driver intentionally began moving left driving me into the medium at which point I realized that these drivers where using their vehicles as weapons to keep motorist from using the left lane. I came to a complete stop and the tractor trailer continued dragging his trailer into my stopped vehicle. The oversize load had no insurance and since Peak Property is such a poor insurance company they will not pay to fix my vehicle. I only have 2 months left on my renewal for this company and will use this time to locate another insurance carrier. If you have this insurance company get out as soon as you can.

Another person screwed by DairyLand/Peak Property
I was hit by an insured driver from Peak Property (Dairyland) Insurance on 5/16/2018 and I have yet to get my car repaired and returned to me.
I was given an estimate of a 5 day repair job with $1800 in damage. When the company argued with the body shop about the drivability of my car, I turned matters over to my insurance company on June 17, 2018. My repairs total almost $6000 at this point and it has taken 16 days to repair my car. When I spoke with a manager in Raleigh, Greg Warren, regarding paying for 5 days of car rental, he was demeaning and condescending. We will be suing them for the 11 days of car rental as well as car depreciation of my 2016 car.

My wife was backed into by a driver with this insurance company. No injuries, cars were drivable, and it was on private property. The drivers door of our vehicle was damaged. Following our insurance company advice,we attempted to file the claim with Peak. After the adjuster basically accused us of committing fraud and getting aggravated when we said no police report was done, it took them two months to get back to us just to tell us that they couldn’t cover the claim because they were “unable to get a hold of their policy holder” . I had already filed a claim with our insurance and when I informed the adjuster of that, he again became extremely aggressive. I had enough and hung up. Horrible company, horrible customer service

I am an accident victim. Customer dodging claim.
I was in an accident with a driver that has this insurance. He was totally at fault! My car is totalled! The insurance adjusters refuse to return my calls, refuse to provide a rental, even though the driver admitted fault on the police report. I even have a witness. I work out of town so i need my car. I will lose my job if i dont have atleast a rental.

The Worst insurance company ever
The insurance adjuster was a joke. She came out and done an initial estimate of $700 and after it was taken to a shop the estimate was over $3000 dollars and it took them forever to get the shop paid and settle the claim. Their customer service people are very rude and do not know what they are doing. Back to the adjuster, she said she supposedly had over 30 years experience but could not do a simple estimate correctly. By all rights the car should have been totaled but she refused to total the car because in her opinion it was fixable and we have had nothing but problems.from the car since it was fixed. The transmission is not shifting correctly but this lady refuses to accept that the accident could cause transmission problems and told me that I will have to prove it was caused from the accident. These people will literally argue with you about obvious problems. They are absolutely the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy, they are that bad.

HORRIBLE! Shady company
one of their insured him my teenage son, gave me his insurance info and when I said I was calling the police jumped in his car and left. Police said its not a hit and run because he gave me insurance information. Peak says their clients statement conflicts” with the police report so they are denying responsibility and not paying. Disgusting!”

They will screw you over!
Was just in a wreck on 10/31/2017 with someone who uses PP&C! Totaled my car and was clearly my fault. When the police report came out it supported that it was her fault. I have a broken arm also. Filed a claim with them! I knew something was off when I had two adjusters from two different states call me, so I got my attorney involved immediately! We went two weeks without hearing anything from them, and today received an email saying they denied our claim! We are now having to sue them! These people are scum of the earth! If I could give them a ZERO then I would have!

Worst company to deal with!!!!
Our car was completely totaled by Peak’s client in August and its now November, and we still have received the claim loss letter or settlement! They are disorganized and customer service is slow to respond. You have to keep calling them total inefficient. Would never recommend even if they were the most affordable.

horrible company
I was rearended by one of their policy holders. They are extremely slow, unprofessional, totaled my car but took a week to decide and then it has been a week now that they have mailed the check for my car” yet I still have not received the check and I had to turn in my rental car almost 2 weeks ago. They are horrible!!! I will be reporting them to the BBB for how worthless they are.

Thank God I dont Have INS with them
This is by far the BEST INS SCAM ever!!! I don’t know why this was ever purchased they must be the cheapest on any planet. I was hit by one of their clients and it took them forever to call me and then I had to call them to ask when they were coming out. Once they did come out told me they would be mailing me the check (which still has not showed up) had to continuously call them to ask where the check is to get my vehicle repaired and i keep getting the runaround. SMH I pray that no one has to get so low where they would purchase this SCAM of an INS. Better Business Bureau will be notified. This shouldn’t be this hard for you to pay out to someone who was a victim by one of your insured motorist. Please rethink the line of business you are in.

TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH ON CLAIMS
They are ridiculous if that even sums it up on claims. Won’t call you back. Took two months to get a claim on my truck handled and I was the victim. My girlfriend backed into me. Ended up in a shouting match with the claims person inside and he hung up on me. Call after call to try and get someone to help me and shifted from one person to another. Do yourself a favor and buy insurance from someone else.

Terrible insurance! Don't waste your money
We were involved in a not at fault accident with someone who had Peak Property and Casualty. The other driver came left of center and totaled my car. Initially they sent me an offer via email of what they would pay on our car. I counter offered and they would not not budge on the offer. (they offered a very low ball offer). Then then I emailed back for a resolution and was told that the offer was a mistake and they had not accepted liability. After 3 weeks Peak P&C denied fault and said we should have taken evasive action sooner to avoid the accident. Their client was ticketed for being left of center. We did nothing wrong in this entire situation. We even swerved left just before impact to try to avoid it but was hit anyway. This insurance is pathetic. We have hired an attorney and feel very confident in the end that they will be liable and have to reimburse our insurance who is now taking care of our claim. People use this insurance company because the rates are low but guess what, they are low because they are terrible insurance. if you have this insurance, I hope you never have to file a claim or you have wasted your money on the premiums you paid because they will do you wrong. They should not be allowed to sell insurance.

deceitful company
Paid for a month then found better/cheaper coverage less than 2 weeks later so cancelled this one. They won’t refund the pro-rated difference claiming that it’s because of the state I live in (Florida), that they don’t do refunds for unused premiums here. Total BS.

Worst insurance experience ever
Do not insure with them. Not only was the customer service rude and very unhelpful they refused to pay for a claim. They made me Wait about a month just to check my car to give me estimate on total damage. After they see how much the damage is they refused to pay for it. They just simply denied it. And there was nothing I could do about it. It’s just as bad as not having insurance. Save yourself from the trouble STAY AWAY!!
