Bad service
They pay then stop even when you send them what they need, forcing you to use 401k to pay off loan. then you still don’t get paid. I paid the loan off because i had no choice. I was told i should have paid a little at a time.Well i’m too old to have bad credit. I was force to do it and still disable. what a shame.

Worthless company
I purchased this insurance after being advised by my credit union , Generations credit union for protection in case i was injured or sick and cant make a. car payment. After being injured and having surgery , i was out for a month. Filed a claim and all they paid is 40.00 on my payment. Never purchase the liability insurance thru your credit union .I should have known, credit unions are out to make money not help you .

Denied claim. Said I had “preexisting condition”, and was denied. This is an example of a junk insurance policy. Stay away!

Late Payments didn't shut my account accordingly
Got a personal loan with my bank January of 2018 after losing my job to my company closing down I used the insurance on my loan to pay my payments until I got back on my feet. Everything went great at first, then I got back to work in March of 2019. CUNA was issuing my payments on the 12th of every month I started my new job on the 11th knowing that you don’t get paid for at least 14 days after starting a job they did not disburse my loan for march, now I have a mark on my credit and not only that as of March 31th My account was still saying status of open and payable. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they still haven’t gotten back to me. I called twice to speak with someone was suppose to get a call back both of those times and did not. So glad I found out what this company really is, I will never use them again.

Crooks! You Have Been Warned!!
I just learned that my claim has been denied. Called to find out why and given the runaround. Rachel” the claims adjuster refuses to answer the phone. Customer service was very unprofessional. After logging in online, the website doe not tell you why you were denied. CUNA MUTUAL is a SCAM!! Do not purchase from Virginia Credit Union !!!!!!!!!!!!! 02/2019″

Steer Clear
My credit union provided this option when purchasing my care if I were to become disable. Well when I bought the care I was employed with a full-time perm position. However after 16 years at my company they folded. This term allowed me to work as a contractor although it was only for one month. I tried to filed a claim and these idiots denied it due in part that I was working a temp position and not a full-time position. Rip Off to say the least.

Refusal to cover
I have never in my 60 years of life experience had an insurance company to take me through so many hoops just to keep from paying. After 5 months going back and forth, they have not paid off my coverage. Stay away from this company, they are a scam that will not cover your loss. You will be ripped off. Trust me on this.

Rip off, keep your money
Was given the option to get unemployment insurance on a car loan an personal loan. Was explained to me aslong as i didnt get fired for gross misconduct that my loans would be paid for as long as i was on unemployment.
I was fired for misconduct, contract says WILLFUL OR CRIMINAL MISCONDUCT. Cuna denied claim, said It was due to misconduct of ANY kind.. that any misconduct is WILLFUL. This comapny is horrible. Stay away an keep your money..

Credit Card protection for Navy Federal declined
I was sold this service as an insurance plan on my Navy Federal credit card when i opened it. Little did i know it was an entirely different company Cuna Mutual” a company that Navy Federal can partner with to collect high premiums and find every loophole not to pay when the military or veteran customer needs the insurance the most. After 6 years, of paying, i became unemployed from an Government contractor that I had been with for 1.5 years. The company’s stock dropped and they laid people off. Includinf me. I file all the paperwork. All snail mail to and feom Cuna.- this is the first red flag because what reputable company uses snail mail these days? Next they wanted every bit of info for my governmebmnt cobtractor and aince i was sub contracted to another gov contractor, they said i did not qualify. Most people in governmebt contracting are subs tonsoneone, whether it is the deot of the navy or A big contracting company like SAIC. So beware of these scam artists!!!! Why is Navy Federal doing business with Cuna Mutual? Im cancelling my accounts with both!!! Thanjs for taking care of us the ones you claim to serve!!.

They deny claims without cause
My husband purchased insurance through our local credit union to cover our loan in case of disability. NO ONE expects to be disabled, nor to they want it to happen…but it does sometimes. We do our best to prepare for these things but making sure we’re insured.
CUNA is denying payment They say he has the ability to earn money even though he can’t raise his arms, be on his feet, perform fine motor skills with his hands. They based their greedy decision on facebook pictures that were taking PRIOR to his disability!!! My husband has repeatedly requested to speak with the case manager that’s above the handlers (there were three supposedly) that made this decision but is getting no where. The three that made the decision keep taking turns calling him back. He requested an appeal and was told they would email paperwork….that was a lie too. He requested a copy of the contract stating why he’s suddenly ‘not’ disabled and they told him he would have to get a copy of that from the credit union. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! We need to all put them out of business!!! My husband’s doctor even submitted the required paperwork stating that my hubs is DISABLED. Nope….not good enough. Run fast and far from this policy!!!

Absolute rip-off
My fiance picked up this insurance as recommended by our credit union in case the worst happened. Well, the worst DID happen, and CUNA refuses to pay after five months of dicking around. My fiance died thinking he’d done the right thing to take care of me, and instead we should have taken the premiums and put them under the mattress. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

SCAM STAY AWAY
I meet all the qualifications that I was told I would need to meet when I got the insurance. Furthermore, I have always paid as agreed with no missed or late payments. When I actually filed a claim, they wanted additional information and suddenly had all kinds of requirements. Upon providing them with all the additional information they requested and seeing that I still qualify, they asked for more as this displeased them. It won’t stop. They refuse to pay. Basically, I have been giving them free money since they aren’t providing the service I PAID for. Now I am getting ready to file a complaint with the BBB, FTC, and other agencies. I am also getting ready to pursue litigation to get my money. STAY AWAY.

Poor service and a hassle to file claim
I called to file a claim after I had been laid off and then had an accident where I broke my leg. They filed my claim and back paid months I didnt need covered, force me to stay on unemployment or they wont pay my claim. They dont communicate with my credit union, even to confirm my claim was approved. Also, Mario over there is a douch. Don’t do business with these people if you can avoid it.
