worst insurance, the insurance sends bill even when you go to the in-network providers. When you call for check up they say it is covered, after a month you get a bill.

Horrible!!!!!
Abosolutley every time you go into a network provider you have to call the horrible customer service to find out why your claim wasn’t paid!
Deductible net still get Bill’s not covered!
Horrible insurance…I call Innovation more that I do my kids!!!

horrible
I can’t wait to cancel. I was lied to. All I ever wanted was affordable health and dental. Person I spoke to initially explained the dental and medical services. The person also explained that life insurance was added to my service with no extra charge. Later found out I have no dental. I canceled Life insurance and they decided to cancel the whole policy. I was reinstated that and still waiting for a phone call to discuss dental. I’ve never been so frustrated in my life…

Worst insurance ever
Every doctor appointment has been a fight to get coverage. It’s like Innovation wants to see just how much they can trick me into paying. Then they claim billing error ” when I complain. Can’t they get it right the first (or second or third) time? I’m tired of spending entire mornings on the phone and on hold with Innovation. Needless to say, I’m switching to a different insurance provider. “

Billing is a MESS
I have had auto payment set up since day one and every couple months I would get a letter saying my payment was late. When I would go into the billing website my payment was pending so I would leave it alone and it would get paid. Last week I got a letter saying my coverage had ended due to non payment… I am definitely not renewing with them.
They also only give you two weeks to pay up on a claim before charging a penalty, my last insurance gave me over a month.

Not helpful , not covered
Their 1st response to any claim is to deny without any contact with the provider or the customer/patient. This is what happens when government tries to control something that they have no idea of what they’re doing. limited choice and higher premiums for poor service and coverage.

Don't even know what they cover
So far, I’ve been nothing short of frustrated. Their website for providers is utterly unclear and out of date (one doctor is closed, an entire obgyn group listed in network, but only take gyne, etc). I’ve had to tight a number of EOB’s due to them not knowing what’s in their own network. They did indeed pay a Labcorp bill as in network, but the next was out of network, etc. I could go on, but it’s starting to feel redundant. Will not be renewing next year’s

The network doctors are third rate Medicaid Drs.
Not too many participating doctors available. If you do find a doctor who is in network he or she works out of an Urgent Care in a hole in the wall somewhere with some vulgar, inexperienced, unprofessional office staff who does not know anything about HIPAA.

Ridiculous Plan
Innovation Health in general is awful. The ONLY thing they are good at is figuring out how NOT to pay for services. They think using jazzy language and having bubbly graphics on their website makes them an effective insurance company, but they are wrong. Don’t get sick out of state. They won’t pay for any of it. Don’t go to the ER out of state. They won’t pay for it. Even if a hospital has Aetna, don’t be fooled: if the hospital does not specifically say Innovation Health/Aetna, then they won’t cover you. You have to live your entire life in Northern Virginia, or they won’t cover you. (Or live in a bubble if you travel.) Don’t even get sick past Mary Washington Hospital in F’burg. They won’t cover you. Their deductibles are a little much for individuals. And when they negotiate a rate, they will only apply the negotiated rate to your deductible whether or not the hospital accepts it. (Say, for example, the hospital charges me 1,000 dollars for a procedure, and Innovation health assumes a negotiated rate will be 650, but you get a bill for 1,000, anyway. Innovation Health will only apply the 650 to your deductible, because, in their magical, pretend world, that is what they believe is fair. This is way, way too much bull for a plan. When enrollment is open again, I am getting out of this bs plan pronto.
